Productivity culture will deceive you (especially if you are particularly high-functioning or a former Gifted Kid) into thinking that any use of your time that can’t be monetized or leveraged for your personal advancement is worthless, and I’m here to tell you that’s the devil talking. Do shit because you like it.

Hey, do you have any advice for being a guest in a big time fae space? I’m visiting some family in England, and there is some big time fae vibes, beautiful plants everywhere, if they lose something it always turns up somewhere else, and the whole cottage is surrounded by big green fields. I worry for me and my boyfriends safety and it feels wrong to try and put wards in our room when the house is already such a fae space, at least I think it is, my sight isn’t good. Any advice on staying safe?

generalwitchery:

Keeping iron in your pockets and underneath the bed you sleep is always my go-to for protection if you’re inside a fae space.

However, setting up temporary wards shouldn’t be a problem, especially if they’re temporary. Kind of like setting up a tent and then taking it down when you leave after camping.

On Upcoming Tumblr Changes…

feliciamontagues:

So there’s been a lot of discussion about the recent unpleasant changes coming Tumblr’s way, so I just wanted to make a few things clear.

1. This blog isn’t going anywhere, regardless of what happens. I’m too tired and lazy to leave at this point. So, it’s been a dream for those of you leaving Tumblr, and hi again to those of you staying.

2. I do however have a Dreamwidth account. And as I’ve heard that tossed around as a possible Tumblr alternative,  I wonder if it might be worth setting up a Father Brown comm on that site. Let me know if you think that would be a good idea and/or if you would be interested in being a moderator.

3. Just a reminder that a Discord server for the fandom has been set up, and I imagine it will be getting much more active from December 17 onwards.
