Today I made a half batch of the Garlic Dough Balls from Crumb. These are a fun and easy snack that are slightly addictive.
The recipe doesn’t call for oil or anything to coat the dough, so they end up a little pale. I think a spritz with oil and maybe cranking up the heat for the last few minutes might help these color a little better.
I aint gonna articulate this right but I’ve noticed there’s this weird sub culture on tumblr where it’s frowned upon to say anything positive about your life. Like occasionally I see someone post something like “I love my job so much” and a few responses are like “wish I could find a job :/” or “must be nice to not have depression” and it’s really strange. A lot of people are pulling themselves out of dark places or finally figuring out how to be happy (no easy feat) and they don’t need you projecting your own demons on their moments of happiness they wanted to share.

Basically EVERY “I paid for it so others can’t get it for free, I suffered for this so others can’t have it easy” mentality.
Social justice groups where gaining any kind of ‘privilege’ through transition, finding a job or mental health recovery is immediately met with suspicion, criticism and a decline in group connections.
If something getting better in your life isn’t met with enthusiasm and support.. get out of that social space.
The first week of December is very heavy with more scorpio energy and shadow work integration. People are already putting their unhealed inner demons on display. A follow up to Venus retrograde. What still needs to be healed?
Aries: A pair of reverse-bladed katana, the otherworldly metal glows green in the candlelight.
Taurus: A ceremonial knife made from the jawbone of a she-wolf. Must save some for mother. Always save some for mother.
Gemini: A decorative kite shield worked into the wearers armor. The apex of the shield comes to a trio of deadly, blunted edges resembling a lions claw.
Cancer: A long whip of braided metal terminating in a wickedly frayed tip. The only thing worse than a sinner is a traitor.
Leo: A harpoon made from jet black metal. Its user unmoving, poised to hurl the spear at some long vanished foe.
Virgo: An ornate rapier, the hilt conceals an ingenious mechanism and a length of spring-loaded silver wire.
Libra: Long metal hammers tipped with a spearhead. Can be braced at the shoulder as a lance, or wheeled above the head to strike with even greater force.
Scorpio: A weapon that resembles a pickaxe haphazardly plated with silver, because that’s exactly what it is. The tool of an illegal and frankly unsavory profession.
Ophiuchus: A heavy, but unassuming sword. An expert would know that it has been forged to kill something very, very specific.
Sagittarius: A gun.
Capricorn: A pair of blocky metal hammers embossed with heavy, checkered faces. Weapons made for bashing armor and bone out of shape. Weapons wielded by someone who really hates shields.
Aquarius: A weapon born of hubris. Far too large for any one man to carry. Countless weapons, pieces of armor, entire corpses smelted together into a hellish greatsword.
Pisces: Simple hooked daggers that double as climbing bracers. Walls mean nothing to those who can scale them.
Something I wish more people understood about witchcraft is that the source of magic is YOU. YOU are the magic. Everything you do with intention is magic and is altering the world around you. Your words are speaking things into being and your laughter is charging your house and as you wash your body in the shower you are cleansing yourself. You don’t need anything else to be magical. YOU are magic.
