The very first time I performed my “Black and White” Act. This was something insane like 2 ½ years ago now. It’s amazing how much burlesque has done for my self esteem. There’s really nothing better then people cheering you on. The stage fright never goes away but it’s exhilarating. This act has taken me all around the country. I’m so happy with the updates to the costume and I can’t wait to show them off tomorrow night at the Gold Room. It’s so perfect, at least in my mind, that this act was my graduation number from the Peaks and Pasties Burlesque Academy, and now I get to reveal the updates and changes at a Peaks and Pasties show! since everybody’s like “bring back capes into fashion!!” but i see NOBODY wearing fuccin capes

we should all think of a day where we all just fucking wear capes. no shame. we all just go about our business wearing capes. or capelets if capes are too long. why are we all afraid to shine

i propose that on october 27, 28 and 29, the weekend leading up to halloween, that everybody just fucking wears a cape when they go out. we should all go out in groups and look fabulous together.
