As some of you may know, I run a small community on amino called spoonie witches
What’s amino?
Amino is a social networking app which allows people to create communities for people with shared interests. There are thousands of aminos for all sorts of topics! It’s a place to chat, share your posts, and make cool things like quizzes and polls.
What’s it for?
Spoonie witches is an amino where all different types of magic practitioners with chronic illnesses and disabilities can come together to build a community and share their journey!
We are a small, inclusive community – where we share our daily triumphs and struggles, as well as share tips and advice on our magic practice.
We often run tags and quick challenges, and are planning to do more of these in the future.
Who can join?
Anyone who is a spoonie! A spoonie is a self identifying term for people who suffer with chronic illnesses or disabilities. This includes mental illnesses and neuro divergent conditions.
If you are looking for a close-knit, inclusive, and personal community – then we’re it!
We are looking for active members who can help to boost the general activity of the amino, perhaps you like creating your own tags or challenges, or have lots of things to share.
Although, this isn’t a requirement, if you would like to join just to chat with other members or read other people’s posts, that too is a ok!
So what now?
If you’d like to join, follow this link or type in ‘spoonie witches’ in your amino search bar
The amino is set to request only so I can keep out trolls and spammers, click send request and type in the request box a couple of words about yourself or how you found the group (just so I know you’re not a bot or spammer, you could type in buzzy bees for all I care 😂)
Please only join this amino if you have a genuine interest in it and are open minded to other people’s experiences and opinions. (we have some guidelines but you can check those out if you join!)
We would love to welcome new faces, so I hope to see you soon! ♥
In light of tumblr shutting down the chronic pain tag and banning ‘female presenting’ nipples like they’re the answer to all of humanity’s crimes; here is a reminder that I run an amino for spoonie witches.
It’s one of the best alternatives to tumblr I’ve found. You can still make long posts, share links anbf videos easily etc, message people, search #s, follow people..
You can also do added cool stuff like group messages, making quizzes and polls, take part in tags and challenges.
The one downside is they are community specific, rather than site wide. But that also means I can police who comes in – so no nazis, terfs, pedos, gatekeepers etc.
Anyway, if tumblr completely shuts down and you’re wondering where I am, I’ll be here.
