The best explanation of Tumblr’s appeal that I’ve seen
everywhere else you speak TO people, specific people, one at a time or in small groups
here you can scream into the void, and if a passing weirdo likes it they can give you a thumbs up or pass it along to their weirdo friends who might like it too
please
try your best to reach out when you need help or need to let things out, no
matter how big or small the problem – you are not a burden, and it’s okay to
ask for help
I’ve realized lately I only feel lovable when I’m “on,” i.e. being funny, accomplishing things, giving gifts, or actively helping someone with something. And honestly that’s kinda bullshit. I don’t love my friends only when they do things for me, I love just talking to them and being a part of their world. So, here’s the actual real thing. Your friends and family love you because of who you are, not what you do. You are lovable even when you feel loathsome or worthless.
