Elspeth from Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar series, a witch who went her own way

“Here, we see a woman who wants to take a different path and has magic
that is unique from everyone else’s. The thing is, everyone she’s
rebelling against is really trying to help her. They believe in her.
They want the best for her. Nothing they’re asking of her is really
wrong. In fact, her life would be lovely, full of accepting and kind
people. It’s just not what she wants.”

My transphobic uncle can’t come to dinner and he calls to give his regards. Bruh we don’t fucking miss you or care for your attendance. Stop calling. Finally my family can have a peaceful get together and hold our spiritual ceremony later without his judgments and back talk. God is real.

I’m auctioning a shawl I made, with profits going to the Transgender Law Center

WHAT’S GOING ON

The situation for trans people in the US is looking rough right now, and I recently made this shawl and knew that I’d probably auction it off for charity sometime soon, so all profits from the sale of this shawl will go to the Transgender Law Center.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

I’ll periodically update the Twitter auction thread and Mastodon auction thread with the current highest bids. You can place a bid by DMing me here, or replying to the thread on Twitter or Mastodon, or DMing me on Twitter or Mastodon.

At noon UK time on Sunday 28th October 2018, whoever’s placed the highest bid wins and will pay me by PayPal. Postage worldwide is included.

WHAT’S IN THE SHAWL?

It’s 55% wool and 45% cotton. Allergy-wise, I don’t smoke but please do be aware that I have a cat.

HOW CAN I HELP?

You can share this post on Tumblr and elsewhere. You can also retweet the Twitter auction thread and/or the Mastodon auction thread. If you think you might know someone who’d be interested in placing a bid, please do send them the URL somehow!

Thank you! ❤

The bidding has ended! 🙂 Toni in Germany won!

Thank you everyone so much for your bids and your help with promotion! Profits after P&P will go to the Transgender Law Center in the US, to hopefully help trans people to survive and thrive through this hostile administration.
