The beautiful Numinous Tarot deck I backed on kickstarter last year by @noelarthurian has arrived! I unboxed it under the Hawthorn tree and what do you know, the first card I drew after I shuffled the deck is The Diviner!!! 💖

A little peek at something new on its way! Datura entangles three crucibles as hands issue forth in ritual. 🌿 Datura is a poisonous plant known for its beautiful spiraling flowers that bloom only at night. If ingested, it can cause severe delirium, hyperthermia, bizarre or violent behavior, and in severe cases, death. However, like all medicinal poisonous plants, they possess a volatile toxicity and there is a fine line between a medicinal dosage and one that delivers a fatal outcome. This very duality is what makes Datura so powerful. Magically, it is used as an aid in both astral travel and shamanistic practices to walk between our world and the spirit realm. Datura is also used in divination and protection, to commune with spirits, break hexes, and return curses back to their sender. Some may say I am not your traditional witch my hair in tangles full of bobby pin incantations a rose quartz crystal tucked in my bra chipped nail polish with unrecognizable sigils oversized t-shirt full of candle wax a shoe box altar under my bed fashionably charged with my cat’s hair and a set of tarot cards with incense ash on them. my magic comes from my heart and that is all that matters.
I was super excited when I discovered Lenormand! I was thinking about how much easier it would have been to keep to the theme and certainly its numbers make it less daunting to complete.
#MonthOfSpreads2 is a monthly divination challenge beginning October 1st, 2018 that focuses on getting YOU to use your Tarot and Oracle cards all while helping to bring the Tarot and Divination communities together for positive change around the world. I received tons of feedback from those who participated last year in the original #MonthOfSpreads challenge and I hope that this year is even better than the last. I acknowledge that this divination challenge may not be for everyone and that not everyone utilizes spreads in their practice, but I do hope that those who do participate, grow in their skill sets, meet like-minded people in the community and ultimately have fun. I’d greatly appreciate if you could spread the word by sharing this post and/or reblogging it. It would mean the world to me.
Why Should I Participate?
The #MonthOfSpreads2 divination challenge is perfect for:
New diviners starting out on their divination and tarot journey. You can practice reading for yourself and others with various topics throughout the month.

How Do I Participate?:
Each day a new divination spread will be provided for you to interpret, journal or gift to another member in the community. You are free to keep your interpretations to yourself, make them as vague or in-depth as you want them or showcase only photos of your tools such as Tarot, Oracle, Dice, Runes, etc for each respective day on your blog. All you have to do is create a post and tag it #MonthOfSpreads2 (all one word) with the day of the spread somewhere in the post. Each spread will vary in length and subject matter. Some spreads will simply be a set of keywords for you to intuitively divine for, while others will be a set of questions. You are free to interpret them however you wish. Do what feels right to you. For those who decide to share their posts on Tumblr, you will be eligible for some prizes.

Community Support:
As with last years #MonthOfSpreads challenge we all collectively donated to hurricane relief. This year we will be donating to the Flint Michigan Water Fund. In 2014, more than 12,000 children were poisoned by contaminated water. More than 100,000 residents were exposed to lead in their water. The people of flint are no longer receiving state resources of bottled water. Its been close to four years and many are still living without clean water. I want the community to get involved. I want us to do some good with Tarot. All prizes from Amazon will be purchased through Amazon Smile, which allows for a portion of the money spent on the prizes to also go to charity.
