A quick ball-point pen sketch just for fun. So many dragonflies came to me throughout the summer and I recognized their presence as a clear sign that a transformation and much-needed change was underway. When researching the symbolism of dragonflies, the aspect that spoke most to me was their association with self-realization and truly living for yourself. The last couple of years I’ve experienced a major transition in my life, no doubt induced by Saturn’s return. I was unknowingly subjecting myself to toxic people who wanted to stifle my personality and my very essence. It was my dearest friends who helped me recognize the stress I was experiencing and since, I have been slowly healing from a long drawn out psychological upheaval. I know now that the dragonfly came to me because of this healing process. It has been a reminder to unmask the many layers of my being and cast away my self judgment in favor of self love. After an illuminating astrology reading from @moonlight_offerings, I feel I am in the very last stages of this particular healing process and, with this first taste of completion, I can feel my true self shining once more. Because of this self acceptance, I was able to harness more attention to my inner world and it has helped me get my artwork back on track after an unfocused year of self wandering. I can’t wait to share my new drawings that speak of my transformation and the bright new clarity I have found thanks to the dragonfly’s guiding presence. 🖤 Have any animals made themselves known to you in a time of need?
