according to witchipedia, solar eclipses give witches the energy of a whole cycle of seasons, which would mean lots of power for you to harness! supercharge your crystals, burn sigils to get even closer to your goal, power your moon water to get that beautiful glow. make sure to make use of this opportunity!
I desperately need to go collect more herbs but it’s almost 100F out and I’m dying, and at this point I’m really considering if there’s going to be enough moonlight tonight to just go out at midnight and collect flowers.
I wound up doing it, went out as the sun was setting and got what I could with the little light I had. I managed to grab some Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), a little bit of Bird Vetch (Vicia aurea), some Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia nummularia), and several gorgeous specimens of Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta).
By the time I was rounding off and night fell I stayed to take photos of fireflies, the whole meadow was absolutely alight with them, it was wonderful.
