brie larson posting photoshopped avengers posters where they’re smiling like they’ve been possessed by a demon after salty fanboys said she didn’t smile enough in the captain marvel trailer is exactly the level of petty i someday hope to achieve
Weekend plans: reading @thelingerieaddict’s BOOK THAT SHE WROTE!!!! In Intimate Detail is the kind of book I wish had been around when I was a teenager trying to figure out what to do with this body I’d landed with. It’s SO informative, fun to read, interesting, and inclusive. Congratulations Cora!! 🍾🥂#inintimatedetail #thelingerieaddict (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnMG4V-neWW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=x3bki69qkzo2
The other day I got a worried person asking “why I bring politics into this” and why I am “not going to give an apology” to them because I don’t tolerate racism, xenophobia or misogyny. It was… the clumsiest attempt at emotional manipulation I’ve yet faced.
I really hope that Nazis and their friends learn to read some day, because I think I do
have it written down on this blog in several places that hey,
fuck off.
These are from me to you, use as phone backgrounds if you want to! Click on them on my blog or reblog them to your own (I would appreciate it if you use any!) to get the full-size pictures.
hey guys unpopular opinion but you’re not a bad person if you don’t care about every bad thing happening in the world all the time, or if you do care but you’re not constantly reblogging posts spreading awareness and information
it’s okay if you’re just on tumblr to have fun and reblog things you like or that make you happy.
humans aren’t made to process trauma and suffering on a worldwide scale without any breaks whatsoever & the internet has created an unprecedented access to bad news so please never feel guilty for scrolling past it because you can’t process it! and you’re not doing anything wrong & there’s no need to feel guilty
You are very welcome! My immunologist was actually one of the first people to tell me to avoid it because it can be known to trigger issues in people with certain illnesses. He said the same thing about my sulfite intolerance, his exact words were “I don’t have a reliable test to run on you for it, but I’ve seen enough people to know it’s a thing, I just don’t know why.”
And that wasn’t a holistic or functional medicine doctor. That was a board certified immunologist in a regular old hospital being straight up honest that he didn’t know everything, but his priority was getting me well again, and here was how to do it.
Yep, I have allergic type reactions to these as well, usually hives and rashes but dizzy spells and fainting if I have prolonged consumption without noticing (hard to do)
Instead of paying attention to those posts about how Tony and his tech being blown off by Rocket or Shuri or Thor or whoever, I’m more inclined to think they’d be snarky with each other and casually mention to each other how they can fix or improve things. It’s all good humor and no one is intentionally hurt.
Plot twist, their specialties are all in different areas so they team up to make really badass stuff that combines all of their skills
The only plot twist I give a damn about.
I have zero time for smart people scoffing or being dicks about other smart people.
If we’re not gonna have Science Bros levels of mutual admiration and cooperation, I don’t want to see it at all.
Tony: Let’s play completing sentences! I’ll go first. Let’s see, an Iron Man armor…
Bruce: Integrated into your biology by a DNA-based computing system…
Shuri: *grinning wildly* Made completely of Vibranium nanotechnology…
Rocket: Armed with fifty planetbuster-grade geobomb grenades!
Tony: *absolutely ecstatic* LET’S MAKE IT!!!!!
Everyone: YEAH!!!!!
*everyone scrambles madly to lab*

I hate all of this “Shuri is sooo much smarter than Tony, she would scoff at his tech!” bullshit. Genius doesn’t equal genius. Genius is not a blanket term for “Absolutely unbeatable in literally every scientific field in existence” and even then, you have to have the idea for something first.
Just because you’re brilliant in what you do does not mean you can’t respect or admire someone who is brilliant in their own field of studies.
I want Tony and Shuri and Bruce and Peter Parker and Jane to science together, comparing notes and supplying things the others might not have thought of.
That’s the kind of Science Geek Gang I’m going for in “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful”, because it’s the only science-interactions I wants to see between my favorite geniuses.
Y’all, look at these good replies!!
Also people need to remember that given their available resources, they all make such incredible technology that most people couldn’t even begin to hope to dream of. Wakanda has been technologically advanced for decades, it makes sense Shuri could make such amazing tech. Tony was able to make a fully operational suit in a shed from scraps and was able to talk Pepper through his “surgery”. Peter is a kid with limited resources in all fronts before meeting Tony, he’s also able to make amazing things with what he’s given. Rocket is a mf raccoon, and he is able to steal what he needs and makes what he can with it. They’re all brilliant. They would have a pissing contest at first, sure, that’s human nature. But after they realize how incredible each of them are, they would team up to makes some of the most incredible shit out there. I mean, look at Age of Ultron and what Tony and Bruce were able to accomplish by teaming up. They know that they’re stronger together and that is what will make some of the raddest imaginable shit a reality.
@marvel
I would like to shine some light on Helen Cho for that last wordy comment. She had a hand in making The Vision. She is also something of a genius in her field. She could help with Bruces part in the Sentence Creating segment, because it basically requires her expertise.
Sometimes tarot reading is sitting on the floor, listening to soundtrack from lord of the rings, everything illuminated by candle flickering and doing tarot spreads.
Sometimes it’s pulling one card out of the deck in the car because you got there a minute early.
Sometimes it’s sniffling on the floor, eyes damp with tears, desperately trying to find how to get through this.
Sometimes it’s sitting in the meadow, or the forest. Enjoying the sun. Listening to the birds, feeling at peace.
Sometimes it’s hiding in the bathroom, trying to be fast enough that no one will suspect anything.
Sometimes it’s laying on the floor with a friend or two, pulling cards for each other.
Tarot reading can look so many different ways, that doesn’t mean one is necessarily better or right.
The theme within the last few months for me has been acknowledging and embodying the fundamentals of intense shadow work. I am learning to accept the parts of my story I would rather keep hidden or rip apart and burn from existence. I am accepting that it is okay to merge with my shadow instead of detaching from it. There is so much power to be had when we look deep inside ourselves and love the demons that live within. There is nothing to fear. There is nothing to be ashamed of. We are multi faceted people and it is okay to be imperfect. From this moment forward, I am looking at my shadow straight in the face and learning from it, exposing it and embracing the lessons it can teach me. I am letting go of the concern to always need to be well polished, perfect and liked by everyone. My concern first is to love and accept myself. The rest will fall into place. I am no longer running from myself but to myself. I understand that this process won’t be easy and it will be a lifelong journey but I am ready to shed the things that are holding me back and to accept myself for the fluid, dynamic and multifaceted paradox that I am. I love my shadow unconditionally because it is a part of me and my evolution.
