probably my favorite thing about witchcraft is how diy it is. like, I used to be catholic and it was like “this has power because it was anointed by a priest” and witchcraft is like “fuck that. anoint it yourself. you have all the power of the universe in your little hands” and I love it.
“Ibat ad antiquas Hecates Perseidos aras quas nemus umbrosum secretaque silva tegebat”.
The Queen of the Night gathered so many names during the millenia. Untamable, wild eyed, spinner of webs, star walker, torch bearer, mountain roamer. Her nature is so intricate and elusive that trying to depict it with a single image never seems to do her justice.
Look, I’m not a witch and I don’t know a lot of witchy things, but I do know this for certain- the most powerful protection amulets are jewelry that has been handmade as a gift just for you by someone who loves you. Doesn’t matter if it’s just an acorn stuck to a ribbon by a five year old, if it was made with love and it was made for you, that’s all it needs, put it on, you’re good to go!
Am witch, can totally confirm.
emotions are powerful. emotions are magic. love is one of the most protective emotions there is
“What is magic? Magic is the art of evolution. It uses intention, breath, will, and ritual to transform both the individual and her relationship with the world. Magic shifts the balance of power between the worlds seen and unseen, and can affect change individually, socially, and politically.”
Some may say I am not your traditional witch my hair in tangles full of bobby pin incantations a rose quartz crystal tucked in my bra chipped nail polish with unrecognizable sigils oversized t-shirt full of candle wax a shoe box altar under my bed fashionably charged with my cat’s hair and a set of tarot cards with incense ash on them. my magic comes from my heart and that is all that matters.
